The Business Administration Program has been elaborated to meet international requirements of instruction programs for the qualification of the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and the Master of Business Administration (MBA), and is aimed at two groups of students:
BBA - for school leavers
MBA - for Bachelors and specialists (with higher education)
The Program BBA is aimed at preparing specialists in the sphere of business and at conferring the Bachelor's degree as well as at specializing in "Management and Marketing", "Financial Management", and "Banking Management".
Graduates of the Program BBA will be able to:
successfully run their own businesses
be managers in local and international companies
conduct research in marketing
organize financial activity of an enterprise
work out projections, projects, evaluate alternatives in the sphere of capital investment in terms of risk assessment and profit
carry out consulting and expert activities of the companies, commercial banks, stock exchange position
continue education at the Masters level in Kyrgyz, US, and European universities.
The Program also offers a minor in the sphere of business for students of other AUK programs.
Achievements:
graduates of the Business Administration Program are in demand at the labor market in various sectors of economy; all graduates of the year 1999 (40 graduates) are employed in Kyrgyzstan and abroad (i.e. the Ministry of Finance, the NBKR, the Eridan bank, Jacobs Audit, the OSCE, the Tax Inspectorate, Pragma Corporation, GTZ, Arthur Andersen, UNDP and USAID projects, Reemtsma, Areopag, Bitex Audit, Kumtor Operating Company, Bitel, Katel, Procter & Gamble, TV companies, etc. - about 50 companies all in all) and have positions such as Finance Assistant, Auditor's Assistant, Accountant, Tax Analyst, Manager, Investment Analyst, etc.)
Bachelors of the Program continue their education at Master's level in Kyrgyzstan and foreign higher educational institutions (the USA, Great Britain, Germany);
For 4 years the students of the Program have been awarded prizes within the SIFE Program;
the students of the Program Business Administration have been awarded prizes in the republican Olympiads in accounting, management, finance;
the students of the Program Business Administration successfully pass exams in financial and managerial accounting at the Carana Corporation and in CPA;
starting from the second year the students of the Program Business Administration take part in various projects, write course papers on the basis of experience of certain companies that contributes to their further employment.
